Maung Chan ( Burma’s Chinese )

    Die Deutsche Welle,the Radio of Germany broadcasted recently:

   --The Burma’s Military Government extended last month Aung San Suu Kyi’s house arrest for another one year.

   --Last Monday, the people of Europe, America and Asia went to the street appealing the Burmese Government to release Aung San Suu Kyi.

   -- U.N. General Secretary Mr. Annan has appealed Burma to free Aung San Suu Kyi too.

   --U.S.A. strengthen to bring Burma before UN Security Council.It failed because of the objection of China and Russia.

    --Till today Aung San Suu Kyi is the heroine and the Idol of the opposition parties and the majority people of Burma.

    We, the people of all nationalities of Burma thank Die Deutsche Welle of Germany very much for its great concern for the freedom of Aung San Suu Kyi, the heroine and the idol of us.

    We, the people of all nationalities of Burma thank the U.S.A, EU and Human Right Organisation very much for their effort to bring Burma before the UN Security Council.

    We, the people of all nationalities of Burma regret greatly to see that Japan and India now oppose also to bring Burma before U.N. Security Council.

    We, the people of all nationalities of Burma are angry with the ASEAN for its disabibility to bring Burma toward right way.ASEAN has not tried to let Burma respect democracy and human right, on the contrary, has even asked China to change its mutual non-invading and non-interfering policy by inviting China to interfere in the internal affairs of the Asean Members!

   It is so lucky that Aung San Suu Kyi is the daughter of Burma’s Father General Aung San. It is so lucky that Aung San Suu Kyi is the symbol of Burma’s democracy and justice.It is so lucky that Aung San Suu Kyi is the lauriate of 1991 Nobel Prize and several international honours .Only because of these factors, the Burma’s military junta dare merely to detain her at home!

   We have to thank our Lord Buddha the most who has protected our Aung San Suu Kyi from junta’s poison and murder.

   We love to see Die Deutsche Welle pointing out further:

   1. Aung San Suu Kyi is the most famous political prisoner of Burma, but not the only one!

   2. There are 1,100 political prisoners unlawfully jailed in Burma! A lot of them are seriously ill and suffering from inhumane torture.

   True! Absolutely true! More than 1,100 political prisoners are suffering inside the jail ,and ten thousands and ten thousands of their family members and relatives, are suffering outside the jail. How many of them sooner or later will be tortured to death? no one knows!

   Now the fascist junta has waged a new inhumane war against the nationalities of the Karens, the Shans, the Mons, the Kachins ,the Chins etc. Day after day these non-Burman ethnic nationalities have been killed and plundered, their huts have been burned out and their wives and daughters have been gang-raped.14,000 Karens have fled these days to the UN refugee camps near the Thai-Burma border!

   The Burma’s civil war has been launched by the Burman Chauvinist junta already half a century.

   Let us demand the Burma’s junta together :

   1.free unconditionally and immediately our Aung San Suu Kyi and all political prisoners in Burma!

   2.stop immediately killing, burning, plundering and gang-raping the non-Burman ethnic people!
